Common questions

General

Are the free plans really free forever?

Yes. Solo Free and the Club Free plan are free indefinitely, no credit card or expiration required. You only need to upgrade when you want features beyond the free tier.

Do you offer a free trial of the paid plans?

Yes. Solo, Club, and Club Pro all include a 60-day free trial — no credit card required. If you don't subscribe before the trial ends, your group automatically reverts to the free plan; nothing is charged and no data is lost.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel through the app at any time and your paid features stay active until the end of your current billing period. No cancellation fees.

Why don't you use in-app purchases?

We process payments directly through Stripe to keep costs down. Apple and Google charge up to 30% on in-app purchases — that's a cost we'd have to pass on to you. Stripe lets us keep prices fair.

Club Plans

Who pays for the club subscription?

The subscription is billed as a single charge to the group owner through Stripe, based on your current member count. Most clubs fold this cost into monthly dues so every member pays their share — it typically works out to the price of a cup of coffee each month.

What happens when a member joins or leaves?

Your subscription is based on the member count at the time of checkout. When your group size changes, the owner can update the count through the Manage Subscription portal and the billing adjusts from the next cycle.

Do mechanics count toward the member limit?

No. A&P mechanics added to your group don't count against your member count on any plan. They get a scoped view of maintenance and squawks without taking up a paying seat.

Do you offer discounts for AOPA flying clubs?

Yes. We offer discounts for clubs registered with the AOPA Flying Club Network. Email us at support@blueskyapplications.com with your club name and AOPA club ID to request a promo code.

How does Club Pro's aircraft pricing work?

Club Pro bills the same per-member rate as Club, plus a small per-member add-on for each aircraft beyond your first. Either way, no group ever pays more than $35/aircraft/mo ($25/aircraft/mo on the annual plan) — a large club's bill doesn't keep climbing with headcount.

Solo Plans

What's the difference between Solo Free and Solo?

Solo Free covers the basics: flight logging, weather, squawk reporting, and up to 5 maintenance items — and you get web dashboard access on Free too. The Solo plan unlocks the full experience — unlimited maintenance, AD auto-import, full currency tracking, tach cascade, and the ability to add your A&P mechanic.

I own with another person. Which plan is right for us?

Start with the Club Free plan — it's free for up to 2 members and includes scheduling, flight logging, and the core features you need. Upgrade to Club when you're ready for more.
